| The Monelison Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a car that struck a telephone pole on S. Amherst Highway. Squad 21 was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews observed moderate damage to the vehicle’s right front end and fluid leakage on the roadway. Firefighters applied Hy-Dry absorbent material to contain the spill and prevent hazards. The team also provided traffic control and notified Verizon, as the telephone pole sustained significant damage.
There were no reported injuries. The Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the accident. |
