| At approximately 3:13 PM, the Monelison Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a local grocery store on South Amherst Highway after reports that a vehicle had driven through one of the store’s doors.
Squad 21 arrived promptly and conducted a thorough assessment of the building. Initial evaluation indicated no structural damage. To ensure safety, the Amherst County Building Inspector was called to the scene and confirmed the building’s integrity.
A wrecker service removed the vehicle, and the store was permitted to remain open for business. No injuries were reported, and the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the incident. |
