| The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) is announcing a new fundraising initiative designed to support the essential services our department provides to the community. After receiving suggestions from our members, MVFD has launched a series of raffles aimed at helping offset rising operational costs. “Our members suggested trying something new this year, and the response has exceeded every expectation,” said Chief J. Malott. “Our very first raffle sold out faster than any of us anticipated, and that enthusiasm encouraged us to continue offering more opportunities for community members to participate.” While the department’s annual December raffle remains a long-standing tradition and a major part of MVFD’s fundraising efforts, these additional raffles are structured to give everyone in the community more chances to get involved throughout the year.
