| The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department recently applied for a $3,000 Volunteer Fire Department Grant through Dominion Power. On August 25, 2026, Dominion Power hosted a meal from Fleming Mountain Grill for the department. After the meal, representatives from the Local Affairs Advisor of Central Virginia and Virginia State Firefighters Association presented the department with a $3,000 check. These funds will be used to purchase new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our Swiftwater Team that is scheduled for replacement. We sincerely appreciate the grant money and wonderful meal from Dominion Power. |
