Madison Heights, VA — November 10, 2025, 07:26 AM** — The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident this morning at the intersection of South Amherst Highway and Elon Road. Squad 21 was dispatched to the scene at 7:26 AM.

Upon arrival, responders found one of the vehicles leaking antifreeze onto the roadway. Absorbent material was promptly applied to mitigate the hazard and prevent further environmental impact.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Wrecker services arrived shortly after and removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The intersection was safely reopened following the cleanup and vehicle removal.
