The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department proudly announces that several of its members have successfully completed the Strategy & Tactics for Initial Company Operations (STICO) course, an intensive program offered by the National Fire Association.

Senior Firefighters J. Saren, J. Hilty, J. Bundoff, S. Mays, W. Hughes, and Probationary Firefighter E. Reedy dedicated their weekend to this multi-day training designed to enhance operational effectiveness during structure fires. The STICO course bridges the gap between firefighter and officer roles, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to implement strategic tactics that ensure incident success.

“This training strengthens our team’s ability to make critical decisions under pressure,” said J. Malott, Chief. “We are proud of their commitment to professional development and the safety of our community.”

The completion of this course reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to excellence, preparedness, and leadership in emergency response.
