| At approximately 9:37 AM, multiple fire agencies were dispatched to Poor House Farm Road following reports of a structure fire. Initial reports indicated the fire originated on the front porch of the residence.
Amherst Fire and EMS were first to arrive on scene and confirmed that the fire had extended from the porch into the interior of the home. Monelison Volunteer Fire Department responded with Engine 23, Tanker 21, and Chief 2 to assist in suppression efforts.
Despite a rapid and coordinated response, the home sustained extensive damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Amherst County Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire. |
