| A statewide burn ban will go into effect beginning Sunday, February 15, 2026, and will remain in place until April 30, 2026. During this period, no open-air burning is permitted except between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and midnight.
The burn restriction applies to all outdoor burning, including brush piles, yard debris, and similar open flames. The purpose of the ban is to reduce the risk of wildfires during a period of increased seasonal danger.
Violation of the burn ban is ILLEGAL and may result in a FINE of $500.00.
State officials urge residents to follow the restrictions closely and exercise caution with any permitted outdoor activity involving heat or flame. |
