At age 26, Claude Esposito decided to follow his calling and join the Monelison Volunteer Fire Department on April 26, 1975. Fifty (50) years ago, Claude made the choice "because he felt a calling, not for recognition or reward." a mission to serve, protect, and assist. And he served—through early mornings, long nights, missing holidays, and situations that most of us can only imagine." Claude was given a helmet signed by current and former MVFD members at his Service Anniversary Banquet, which was sponsored by MVFD and the MVFD Ladies Auxiliary. Additionally, his wife gave him a blanket she had crocheted from used fireman t-shirts. Claude is still actively involved with Monelison Volunteer Fire. MVFD expresses on sincere gratitude to Claude Esposito and his wife Violet, for his 50 Years of Service and wish them both well and prosperous for many more years to come. |
